Crevasse magnetostat ribbon speakers

The soul of Crevasse is in the one meter high ribbon element and in the directivity controlling surfaces. The beautiful form of this structure is purely functional. It controls the horizontal directivity to achieve a neutral and uniform sound dispersion.

The ribbon element is capable of reproducing all transients very accurately. The ribbon weights only one gram, and can therefore follow the fastest of signal changes without delays or resonances. Crevasse ribbon speaker utilizes modern neodymium magnets, making it very efficient and thus an easy companion to any quality amplifier.

The bass in Crevasse speakers is produced by two 10 inch elements working in a dipole configuration. This leads to a seamless connection between the bass and the ribbon and eliminates all lateral room resonances.

Internal wiring for the ribbon and its cross-over network is from teflon insulated pure silver. The huge capasitors in the cross-over are Solen polypropylene types for absolute midrange and treble clarity and neutrality.

Not many commercial speakers share the combination of functional and impressive form and world-class handicraft with Crevasse. In the absence of floor and ceiling reflections it is capable of producing recordings in normal listening or living-room environment with accuracy and vivid imaging. Due to the phase linearity of the ribbon transients maintain their character and space is produced convincingly.
